Mechanically, this car runs like a Cadillac should. Starts easily with the original 6 volt electrical system. 346 cubic inch flathead V8 runs smooth and quiet with plenty of power for modern traffic. (See video.) These bulletproof engines were used by Cadillac from 1937-1948 (as well as in the U.S. Army M5 tanks in WWII) and have been proven to be one of the finest powerplants of the Classic era. The 3-speed transmission shifts crisply. Brakes stop the car smooth and straight. Runs cool. Under the hood is neat and clean with only some wear noted to the porcelain finish on the exhaust manifolds. This car has been dialed-in, driven and enjoyed. I have personally driven this car, and have also owned six other Cadillacs of this same era, so am in a good position to compare. It is turn-key and ready for the new owner to go or show anywhere in style.
